“Do It Right”: Gondwana's first single on a One Riddim

gondwana live

The main reggae group in Chile, Gondwana, has just released a new single within the framework of the 2023 of the Cali Roots Riddim, a work produced by the American artist Collie Buddz.

It is the first time that the Chilean band is part of a compilation One Riddim, format originally from Jamaica and a fundamental part of its musical culture, that stands out for being unique in the world, and consists of various artists recording their own version on the same track (riddim the rhythm). Chileans are the only Latin American and Spanish-speaking representatives in the production.

In addition to Gondwana, participated in this riddim artists of the stature of Anthony B, Luciano, Mike Love, Sara Lugo, SOY, Busy Signal, The Movement, Khalia, Hector Roots Lewis, who are part of the list of 22 artists with their version of the Cali Roots Riddim.

With lyrics and melody by I-Locks and Panty's voice, This is the second theme released by Gondwana in recent months after the premiere of the video clip the “Cahuita”, last may.

It should be noted, that Cali Roots Riddim is the second production one riddim by Collie Budz, who in 2020 premiered a first version of this same riddim, with 21 artists among whom some names incorporated in this second version are repeated, as Anthony B, Mike Love, o SOY, and that incorporates others like Jesse Royal, Etana, Mellow Mood, in addition to incorporating the own version of Budz. No artist or band in Spanish participated in this first production.
