Argentine bands contemplate shows at Bar El Clan and then at the Bunna Festival.
Argentine bands Kameleba Y Surco Pando They disembark in Chile to show all their reggae in two events that will take place this weekend in Santiago.
The first show of both groups will be held at the legendary Bar El Clan from the Bellavista east neighborhood Friday 14 October, where the renowned national band will also participate 12 tribes.
While, The second presentation will take place on Saturday 15 in the heart of Cajón del Maipo in the International Festival of Coffee Arts and Culture, to celebrate the Bunna Café's Seventh Anniversary, a day that will have more than 10 groups and singers on stage.
The return of Kameleba
Kameleba returns to Chile after 7 years and will review in both shows the classic hits in their more than 20 years of experience and will present his latest albums: “The present we dream of” (2019) and the EP “Indoor” (2022).
“Today we feel great desire and expectations to share our music with you again., We are very happy to see this happen.”, said the group to Reggae Chalice.
They also added that “This time it would be the second time that Kameleba steps on Chilean soil, since the first time was ago 7 years at the Siempre Vivo Reggae festival, where we share the stage with great exponents of the genre. The truth is that we hope to visit Chile on more than one occasion.”.
The band is made up of the founding members Change Folch (bass player) Y Sergio Barroso (drummer), in addition to vocalist and guitarist Jbarley “Demon” Reynoso Y Cristian Gerardi on keyboards.
With clear influences from reggae greats such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, among others, Kameleba continues to represent the essence of the genre that was born in the Trenchtown ghetto, in the Jamaican capital, Kingston, with lyrics that talk about political awareness, spirituality and particular rhythms of roots, that reflect the warmth of the island sound, added to genuine brushstrokes that differentiate and characterize the group.
To date they have five studio albums: “Kameleba” (2004), “Dream that Goes” (2007), “Vibrasound” (2010) Y “Tribulation Times” (2012), in addition to those mentioned “The Present we Dream of” e “Indoor” (2022).
Surco Pando's second visit
Surco Pando It is a band from Mendoza, Argentina, born in the year 2009 who has two albums so far: “Our Proposal” (2012) Y “Royal Force” (2019).
Like his compatriots, It is his second pass through Chile then what in 2019 will participate in the birthday 19 of 12 tribes and although they intended to return in 2020, the pandemic said something else.

In 2014 the group begins to manage its own festival, the Revolution Reggae, creating a space of Jamaican music that in its seven versions has presented more than 25 projects from all over Argentina and also from Chile.
