Lee Perry will have a new posthumous album

A little more than two years after his death, the legendary jamaican artist Lee “Scratch” Perry remains in force regarding a new posthumous album that will be released in the coming days.

Is about Heaven, presented as the last project that Perry was working on with his band, as announced on their official Instagram and Facebook accounts.

“We are proud to announce the launch of Heaven, Lee's latest album Scratch’ Perry, one of the most important cultural figures’ of the 20th and 21st centuries! This was the last album on which Lee 'Scratch’ Perry had been working in his studio in Switzerland with his band!”, posted the publication on his social networks.

the album of 8 tracks will be released this Friday 27 October and will be available in vinyl and CD format at Secret Records and it is unknown at the moment if it will have a version for digital platforms.

It should be noted that another posthumous album was recently released, titled “Destiny”, a project carried out in collaboration with the Canadian Bob Riddim, which is preselected for the grammy awards.

Lee Perry was a complete artist, known for his prolific inspiration, He was a true legend of reggae and dub, transforming the history of these musical genres.
