One of the most iconic Jamaican roots reggae bands, The Gladiators, will arrive for the first time in Chile for a single show that will take place next Saturday 1 of August at Underground Club.
The founder of the band, Albert Griffiths, passed away on 15 from December to 2020 and from 2005, when health problems kept him away from the stage, your son Al Griffiths took the vocal reins of the band.
It is he who leads this visit to Chile, which is done under the tour “The Legacy Lives On” which brings him to South America with confirmed shows in Brazil, Argentina and Peru, keeping alive the sound and message of one of the most respected Jamaican roots groups.

The Gladiators are one of Jamaica's most important roots reggae bands., with several very influential albums released in the golden age of the genre, as Trenchtown Mix Up (1976), Proverbial Reggae (1978) and Sweet So Till (1979).
These works that include hymns like “Jah Works”, “Dreadlocks the Time Is Now”, “Mix Up”, “Looks is Deceiving”, “Chatty Chatty Mouth”, “Soul Rebel” and “Let Jah be Praised”, among others.
This show will feature Rice & Beans as backing band, Argentine group known for accompanying international legends of the genre and surprises are also announced for the day.
The show will take place at the Club Subterráneo, located on Paseo Orrego Luco 46, Providencia, next saturday 1 of August, with doors opening at 19:00 hours.
