Veteran guitarist Dalton Browne dies days after heart surgery

To the 64 years old legendary guitarist Dalton Browne passed away last Sunday night at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) and Kingston, Jamaica, after undergoing quadruple bypass surgery that took place in the middle of the week and from which she was unable to recover.

The news was confirmed by his brother, keyboardist and music producer Cleveland “Clevie” Browne, who told the Loop news portal: “This is really hard for the family, this is a road i've never traveled before, the death of a brother”.

According to Clevie, Browne underwent quadruple bypass surgery Wednesday from which he was thought to be recovering well. A quadruple bypass heart surgery is an open-heart surgical procedure performed when four blood vessels are blocked and must be bypassed.
