The Panamanian artist Leavitt Eduardo Zambrano Haynes, better known as Japanese, died this wednesday 23 October in his native Colón, to the 52 year old, according to local media information.
The singer was hospitalized in Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital after suffering a relapse in his delicate state of health, who had been affected by complications from the diabetes he suffered and the consequences of a stroke suffered in 2020.

The singer's nephew and digital manager, Abdin Pacheco, issued a statement on behalf of the family thanking the expressions of affection received after learning of Japanese's death.
“For years Leavit Zambrano took the name of Panama to the top, inspiring young artists and proving that passion and perseverance can break any barrier. His departure leaves an immense void in music and in all those who had the joy of knowing him and sharing with him.”, Pacheco stated in an Instagram post.
His text adds that “in this difficult time, We extend our most sincere condolences to his family., friends, colleagues and followers. We ask for respect and consideration in the grieving of your loved ones.. Rest in peace, Japanese. your music, Your name and your spirit will remain forever in the hearts of the Panamanian people.”.
