Max Romeo says goodbye to touring: I'm still healthy and I can say goodbye properly

jamaican singer Max Romeo (1944) announced his farewell tour called “The Ultimate Tour” and the subsequent release of a commemorative album after almost 60 years of artistic career.

“After 5 decades of touring and sharing my music with the world, I have decided that it is finally time to take a well-deserved break and retire from touring.. But I know this journey is not just about me, it's about the music, it's about the message, It's about the roots of reggae and it's about you, my faithful followers, who have supported me over the years”, said one of the living legends of reggae.

“I can fondly remember my first UK tour in the late 1980s. 1960 until my tour last year in Europe. I have performed all over the world and received nothing but love from all of you.. To the 78 years, I thank the Most High that I am still healthy and can say goodbye to all of you, correctly”, added romeo.

The tour will start on 30 March in Israel and will run until at least May, with seasons in Greece, Germany, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, and will feature the children of Romeo, Is it Y Azizzi, in addition to Droop Lion Y Lutan Fyah as guests.

“It may be the end of an era for me, but reggae music will live on and to embrace this, I have invited Azizzi Romeo and Xana Romeo, to show everything I've taught you about roots. I call it 'The Romeo Effect'”, Romeo expressed in his publication.

Likewise, the announced album is expected to be released during the month of April “to commemorate my journey with all the music you know and love with some very special guests”, said the singer.
