After months in confinement and away from the stage, Revel returns to the fray presenting his latest production "Me Elevas", new single that will be the first of several that the Chilean artist has already announced will be released in the coming months.
And it is that the pandemic and the closures caused by the Covid have had the music industry in crisis with the total cancellation of live events, even so, from Pirque, within the Metropolitan Region, Revel has taken advantage of this moment for musical creation and to venture into a new musical proposal that has also been produced by him.
In conversation with Reggae Chalice, Rastafari musician said that this new work “is a bet in every sense. On one side, because it's a different style than anything I've done before. And on the other hand, because this time the music is made by me ”.
In his own words, This new song "Me Elevas" is a Reggae Trap full of sensuality and romanticism that marks a before and after in Revel's musical career, reason why you chose your birthday, the 21 October, to kick off this new stage with the release of this single that will be released along with a lyric video.
"It is something beautiful and surprising what happened, because on the way -without thinking- a work team was formed, musical and audiovisual production that have been by my side in this new stage. One of these people is Felipe Fabres, el Kunta (KuntaMusic), who has supported me in the recording, mixing and mastering. Also on the audiovisual side they accompany me in the design of the cover Pilar Guzman, graphic designer and Unique human in the video animation ", story.
The last we knew of Revel was at 2018, when he presented “No More Trouble” by Goodman Music. That same year he was part of the delegation of Rastafari Nyahbinghi brothers who traveled to Jamaica for about a month, moment when he had the opportunity to share his experience, his style and his music in different parts of the island.
In that year and the next, until October 2019, Revel appeared in different stages, festivals and live performances with the Revelation Band until October arrived and Chile had a social awakening that generated an impact on massive events. Then came the Covid. The time in quarantine has paid off for Revel, at home with the family, concentrated working, creating and reasoning.
"Today in the 2020 I find myself working on my own music and my new songs. You elevate me would be the first single of this litter of singles that will be released from the 21 October. The idea is to keep releasing my next singles, there is a lot of work to show and specify, so come on pa’ in front of, working silently step by step as you already know, because more than plans, I only focus on making music and feeling good. People vibrate and my family supports me. Jah inspires me with songs and I feel totally blessed ", Revel ended.
