Mourning in Reggae: Pablo Molina passed away at 58 years

The renowned Argentine singer Pablo Molina passed away this Saturday at 58 years afflicted with cancer that affected him in recent years, causing several health complications.

The family confirmed the unfortunate news through the artist's social networks during the morning of this Saturday.

His musical career

His musical beginnings date back to the year 1993 when he joined the punk-rock band Todos tus Muertos as a percussionist (TTM) where his friend Fidel Nadal also participated.

In an interview with Pelagatos, the musician recalled that his first presentation was made looking towards the back of the stage, since he had never played with an audience before.

Later he joined as voice, since the members of the group saw great potential in him.

at the same time, during 1996, together with Fidel and his brother Amilcar Nadal they started the Lumumba project, which took the name of the hero of the independence of the Congo, Patrice Lumumba.

This project, which incorporated various musicians from TTM, was the platform to explore the world of reggae, leaving aside the beginnings of punk and rock and in the first stage of the band they managed to publish 4 Albums: Lumumba (1996), Roots and Culture (1997), the boom is coming (1999) Y Live (2000).

These albums were an obligatory reference for reggae lovers in this part of the world., when reggae in spanish was scarce.

Together with Fidel, he also collaborated for a few months with Manu Chao in black hand.

In 2000 began his solo career, in which he published four albums: Abed Nego, Reggae Classics in Spanish Vol. 1 (2000), The Valley of Decision (2004), Leaving footprints (2012), Reggae Classics in Spanish Vol. 2 (2016).
