One of the main figures of reggae in Chile, OskarT, released his new album called That inner warmth that Mate and Ganja moments have, a production that complements part of his musical history with aspects of his evolution.
It is a work of 10 tracks that revisit part of the iconic album Mate and Ganja -of Tanaka brothers, published in 2000-, plus new songs, with a sound that the artist himself defines as acoustic.
“It's a very organic sounding album., there is almost no programmings and it has that thing of a sound, somehow, intimate, more taken to the acoustic (…) And it is a continuation of the evolution that my music has been having., like a return to the roots sound and there is also a stylistic expansion in that it goes beyond reggae”, The singer said Reggae Chalice Magazine.
The work relies on reversals of old themes, as “Holy Grass”, “Jah Rastafari in your name”, “One Love” Y “JAH soldiers”, and other songs are added that seek to capture that expansion in musical style mentioned by whoever was the vocalist of Hermanos Tanaka.
The live premiere of this production took place in the Birthday 11 by Bunna, at the beginning of June, where he performed with an acoustic guitar and Nyahbinghi drums format, lineup with which he plans to perform live performances in both Chile and Argentina.
