With 18 years of history in music, Laion S El Yerbatero presents his latest work, an independent album whose 11 tracks take a tour of Reggae, el dancehall, popdance , reggaeton , and rap. Hand in hand with the disk, The artist from Pirque was on tour in Peru and projects a busy year presenting his album, but also a lot of work on what will be his new project.
Reggae Chalice spoke with Laion S after his first tour as a soloist. For a week the Chilean artist performed at the “One Love Legaliza” festival and had five more shows in Arequipa, Peru. The tour to the neighboring country was thanks to the management carried out by Laion himself together with the bassist of the band that accompanies him.. “It's been a year since I started this job.. We sent material to Peru from the new work and it was very well received. It was the kickoff for this tour”.
In the words of the author, “El Regreso” is a mixture of “diverse musical styles, a more current Reggae, dancehall and various rhythms; It is an album focused on youth, with modern sounds with a positive message, with stories, experiences in his texts, happy and positive, “a message for all ages”.
The album was forged completely independently, “It was worked with highly recognized producers in the scene. He has three video singles “Not everything is fine”, “Cultivalo” and the third a combination with Oskar T”, points out the Yerbatero whose name is Mauricio Sandoval, while explaining that the album also includes a collaboration with Bobby R, member of Digital Dread, “and a featuring with the producer of the album, Keyfeel, by Lw Records”.
It should be remembered that he began his musical career around the year 1999, when he started writing his first songs, several of them were later part of the album “Atento Natty Dread”, the first recorded by the then duo in which Laion S participated under the name “Conciencia Yo y YO”, an album loaded with praise and Rastafari lyrics, recorded by the year 2002.
My plan this year is to play wherever I can, show my work and at the same time I am already recording the new album that will be released at the end of the year, thanks to jah, so also internationalize my career, “We are also planning a trip to Mexico”, Laion concluded., who was recently in the north of the country presenting “El Regreso” to the public of Iquique.
