The singer Zion Marley last week he released his single called “Marching”, a kind of response to a song that his mother dedicated to him when he was born.
Zion is the eldest son of Lauryn Hill y Rohan Marley, and she dedicated the song to him “To Zion”, which was included on the hip hop singer's first solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998).
in that song, Hill addresses her decision not to terminate her pregnancy to pursue her blossoming career, to the pressure she had to abort and also to the blessing that this child was in her life.
Now, with “Marching”, Zion Marley shares a powerful generational message of liberation and rebirth, proving that his time has come to share his music with the world.
The song was written and produced by Zion himself, along with his mother and Omari Stines (production), and has a strong and deep-rooted sound, while mixing modern sounds and samples of “To Zion”.
