Ky-Mani Marley returns to the premieres with Love and Energy, their eighth studio album and first in over a decade, through his own label Confrontation music in association with New York's DubShot Records.
The disk has 16 tracks -14 songs and two spoken reflections- with a lineup of collaborators that includes Sizzla Kalonji, Anthony B, Gyptian, Andrew Tosh, Agent Sasco, Lutan Fyah, Other Mahr y Bugle.
The album opens with “New Creature”, which has already reached number one on the Jamaican charts, while the title song of the album, with Lutan Fyah e other Mahr, It has accumulated almost two million views on YouTube since its previous launch.
Among the main songs is “A Little Bit (I’m Okay)”, written with his daughter Imani Marley and his collaborator Shaquel Leon, in one of the most personal moments of the album.
Built on a classic one-drop rhythm with pedal steel guitar by Tal Morris, the song turns an intimate chapter of Ky-Mani's life into a reflection on mistake, uncertainty and acceptance. She became a crowd favorite during her recent summer European tour..
While “War Inna Babylon” closes the album with an army: Sizzla, Anthony B y Agent Sasco exchanging verses over a Nyabinghi riddim. The heart of reggae music, in its most concentrated form.

Son of Bob Marley and the table tennis champion Anita Belnavis, Ky-Mani has been building his own career for almost three decades: since Like Father Like Son (1996) until Maestro (2015), passing through his work in the cinema with Shottas and collaborations ranging from Farruko to Pitbull. Love and Energy is their most ambitious comeback.
