The Jamaican artist Jah9 his new single premiered this week “Hurricane”, the third chapter of the saga The Open Heart Project, whose first launch was made two years ago.
The Open Heart Project It is a series composed of four parts, in which the artist addresses the different stages of a love relationship: wake up, growth, disappointment and reconciliation.
The first of the launches, and what gives its name to the series, was “Opean Heart”, in 2023, followed by “Match”, in 2024.
“Hurricane” was produced by Winta James and deepens the singer's characteristic neo-reggae-soul sound, while addressing the transition between idealization and reality in relationships, as well as in the breakup and recognition of conflicts after the falling in love phase, setting the stage for the conclusion of the series.
“With 'Hurricane', My intention is to create a space for like minds and open hearts to have meaningful and necessary conversations.”, commented the artist .
