The renowned reggae artist, Protoje, just released his latest album called In Search Of Zion, a roots reggae interpretation of the 10 original tracks from his previous production, In Search Of Lost Time.
The album was produced in collaboration with Zion I Kings, a group from the Virgin Islands, whose label of the same name is responsible for the majority of albums by Midnite.
The result of this collaboration is a magnificent roots reggae reinterpretation of the 10 original album tracks, in addition to their respective dub versions.
“Experimentation at its finest. Music is not one dimensional and this project was intended to show how music can transform the lyrics themselves, melodies and flows and repackage it into a different feeling”, Protoje posed when announcing this album.
“Aptly titled In Search of Zion, It truly is a work of art and a gift to all of you before we move on to the new music. Thank you for the support and willingness to try this experiment.”, added the Jamaican musician.
