the national singer Balaguero launched this Wednesday 24 January the tenth album of his career called Music & Friends, a production that travels from Roots to Lovers Rock and also goes through Afrobeats and Dancehall, in which he brought together several artists and producers to compile some of their already released songs, the ones that, added to new ones, gave life to the new plate.
The disk of 12 tracks features the participation of 14 artists and 12 producers among whom one of the main voices of reggae in Chile stands out as Quique Neira in the song “Some trick”, produced in Canada by Smokeshop; as well as the Jamaican Nvt3l (who has been a chorus girl Mr. Vegas and currently Tarrus Riley) beside Joao Mu$ic (brother of Polima Westcoast) in the song “Magic”.
Another new song is “By Que Si“, which was recorded in Colombia with J White, one of the new talents of that country, under the production of SamboProd; in addition to “Life Contract“, beside OteezyGMB from Nigeria, which was produced by WnC Beatz in Costa Rica.
“Mainly what makes it special and different from everything I have done before is that it is a completely collaborative album, each song is made with different artists and produced by different producers, that is the seal of Music & Friends“, Balaguero said to Reggae Chalice.
Among the songs already released is “Zoom” next to the Jamaican Xyclone -who was recently in Chile- produced by AndreO In Jamaica, as well as “Remix Invitation“, with the deceased singer I In this and the Ghanaian Raingad, produced by the Chilean DJ Chalice Beatz.
The singer dedicated this album to the Panamanian singer and decided to include “Remix Invitation” as a way to honor your friend, Well, it was the last song they recorded together..
“Since I screened the album, I knew 'Invitation Remix' would go. Him (I In this) she loved it and after her sudden departure I felt it made more sense to include her. He was one of those great friends who gave me music and he is the only one who participates in the album who is not among us, That's why when I announced the release of the album I couldn't stop dedicating it to him.”, explained the Chilean musician.
