Anbessa Soundsystem lands at the Vinyl Garage Fair in unprecedented participation of Reggae culture

In its fourth edition, the well-known Vinyl Garage Fair, popular event dedicated to collecting and an ideal panorama for lovers of music in vinyl format in all its styles, has confirmed the dates of its event for this year and at the same time, an additional element: For the first time, Reggae culture will be represented in this space with the participation of Anbessa Soundsystem.

Reggae Chalice spoke with César Sanhueza, one of the founders of Anbessa Soundsystem, who told this medium that from Vinilo Garage, the organizers of the fair, They contacted Anbessa to extend the invitation to participate in the fair and show part of what Soundsystem culture is in a space that for the first time will have a live Sound.

“We believe that it is important and interesting that the culture of Reggae and sound can be shown in different spaces that are not the usual ones.”. “We consider it a good opportunity to open more spaces for our culture.”, commented César Sanhueza, aka Mister Dubman.

Sanhueza, who is a teacher by profession and also a photographer by vocation, He explained that “sound is a particular and very interesting phenomenon.”, born from the need to bring music where people could not afford their own records. Today it has been transformed into a recreation space, where community is generated and where music has a message that, in addition to being danced, is heard and raised many times as a protest. Anbessa Soundsystem is made up of Mister Dubman and Sammy Dread, both have been linked to Reggae culture around 20 years, They have been part of various musical projects linked to reggae and dub such as the band “Aerolíneas Dub”, group well remembered on the scene to this day. The Vinyl Garage Fair will continue from Thursday 14 and until Saturday 16 October, of 10:00 a 20:00 hours, at the Mall Paseo Los Domínicos, Plaza Central, Camino El Alba 11969, in Las Condes. Anbessa Soundsystem will be delighting attendees during Saturday's event, from 14 hrs.
