The historic reunion concert of Gondwana and Quique Neira -after 23 years away- enters its countdown with overwhelming sales success. With Pacific Central locations, Andes and Gallery completely sold out, the show has already sold out quickly last entries in South Pacific and Cancha, the latter with only the 40% available.
The long-awaited appointment, which will review for the only time the most emblematic albums of the golden era of Chilean reggae, will take place next 5 September at the Bicentenario Stadium in La Florida, and its pre-sale will be available only until 31 july 1st via Puntoticket.
The event will be attended by a top-level international guest: Third World, fusion reggae band that emerged in the 1990s 70. It will be the first time that they will be presented in Chile, direct from jamaica, with a special show in which they pay tribute to its founder Stephen “Cat” Coore passed away at the beginning of the year.
At the controls, highlights the participation of Errol Brown and Jim Fox of Leo & Fox Studios, both Grammy winners; first, Bob Marley's sound engineer and key player in the development of the global roots reggae sound, while Jim Fox, recognized for his recording work on the international scene and a key player in the production of Gondwana's first three albums with Dr.. Dread.

The prelude to the reunion
It was the past 29 March in Concepción REC Festival when Gondwana received Quique Neira on stage to interpret “Original feeling” and the most 200 thousand attendees burst with emotion live and direct, while on television and social networks the reunion went viral.
The milestone gave way to a show with Quique Neira, the iconic voice and composer of many of the band's hits, who declared: "Does 23 years and a little more that we were not on stage making music. Now we did it and, thanks to the one above, We have the health and vitality to be able to recreate that emotion that united us through music. So, to Almighty God all the Glory for allowing us this opportunity and this magnificent scene, in some way it is a little piece of the history of Chilean music”.

The discography
Quique Neira He officially joined the band at the end of 1996 as the main composer and vocalist when Gondwana - with the help of its founder and alma mater I-Locks Labbé- He had already been promoting reggae for a decade. Together, took the Gondwana sound to the next level, reaching with the debut album Gondwana Triple Platinum Record in Chile and marking a before and after for reggae in Spanish. With songs like Original feeling, It was Langa and harmony of love, The impact was such that the album was released in the United States by RAS Records under the name Together, expanding its reach beyond the country.
With Praise (2000), Gondwana consolidated its position with a Quadruple Platinum Record, also driven by his time at the Viña del Mar Festival and an intense agenda of almost 200 presentations in Chile. The album added new hymns such as Antonia, Sweet love and Verde, Yellow and red.
In 2002, Made in Jamaica consolidated his style and represented a symbolic dialogue with the cradle of reggae, with songs like Ignorance or Happiness. At that point the group had already accumulated nine platinum albums in Chile., while it expanded strongly through countries like Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru and the United States.
In the year 2003 Gondwana and Quique Neira separate their paths. Neira built a solid career with new albums and international tours, while Gondwana with other vocalists had the merit of sustaining the name and prestige of the band until today..
