the national singer Quique Neira presented “Mari”, the third single from his latest album “The Reguero”, launching a few weeks ago.
As the singer-songwriter himself explained, This is a song originally created ago 15 years and only now managed to enter the album's track list.
“It is the one that has its origin further back in time. I recorded its original demo at the end of the first decade of the 2000. Since then I had the idea, but for different reasons it was shelved waiting for an opportunity”, Neira stated.
Regarding the letter, the singer-songwriter explained that “Logically, I rethought the entire musical proposal and improved the story with respect to the concept of the song.. I understood that the metaphor had to be deepened, play more mystery and not be so explicit, Well, in a way, that was the charm of his lyrics., says something between the lines, with a coded message that invites the listener to reveal the true meaning, or even leave everyone free to interpret the lyrics”.
