the legend of reggae, Max Romeo, will arrive for the first and only time in Chile next Thursday 23 of November within the framework of his farewell tour of the scenarios - called “The Ultimate Tour”– to appear at the Chocolate Club, in the Bellavista neighborhood.
In January of this year, the singer, one of the last bastions of roots reggae from the 70s′ and with about 60 year career, announced that this 2023 will say goodbye to the stage after making a world tour that has taken him and will take him to Europe, U.S, South America and luckily it will have this stop in Chile.
In fact, since its announcement in January has already made more than 50 presentations around the world and there are still many more left in the framework of his final tour.
This show is also part of the celebration of the 15 years of sound system career Rootz Hi-Fi.
Likewise, this presentation will almost coincide with the birthday 79 of the interpreter of “Chase The Devil”, whose birth was 22 November 1944.
“After 5 decades of touring and sharing my music with the world, I have decided that it is finally time to take a well-deserved break and retire from touring.. But I know this journey is not just about me, it's about the music, it's about the message, It's about the roots of reggae and it's about you, my faithful followers, who have supported me over the years”, He said Maxwell Livingston Smith, his real name, announcing his farewell tour.
Prolific from the beginning of his career, with hits “Wet Dream” O “War Inna Babylon”, among many others, edited almost 40 albums between studio albums and various compilations that have led him to be one of the main voices of Jamaican reggae.
