The leading reggae group Israel Vibration will return to Chile in March of next year with a second show that will add to its already announced presentation in the edition 2025 from Lollapalooza.

It will be the second visit to Chile of the historic group, which debuted in Santiago in May 2018 with a great show at the Subterráneo Club in which they themselves were “Wiss” and also “Skelly”, who later died 26 August 2022 due to fulminant cancer.

I.V. will release new album

This visit will be special because a few weeks before, the 28 February, Israel Vibration's new album called Reggae Music Never Dies, the first after practically 10 years of the last plate called Play it Real (March 2015).

This new album, produced by Aston Barrett Jr., current leader of The Wailers, presents the final recordings of “Skelly” along with the new creations of “Wiss“, who keeps the flame of the band that has almost 50 years of experience, being one of the cornerstones of the history of reggae music.

The seed for this project was planted during the pandemic when Barrett Jr. reached out to express his admiration and offered to produce a song, a fitting tribute to the iconic album Unconquered People (1979) de Israel Vibration, including members of The Wailers, including Aston “Family Man” Barrett, his father.

Barrett Jr. produced and mixed the album, played the bass, the battery, rhythm guitar, piano and percussion, and great musicians such as Dwight Pinkney, Kubix Y Thales “Lion Farmer” on lead guitar; Dean Fraser on the saxophone; Randy “Thromboclate” Fletcher on the trombone; Okiel McIntyre on the trumpet; Carol Dexter in the choirs; and the percussionists Abidan Tafari Y Kemoy “Chippy” Outar.
