Successful return of the Rototom Sunsplash brought together more than 210 thousand attendees

The twenty-seventh version of the Rototom Sunsplash It was very special because it was the reunion after two years of suspension forced by the pandemic and had a very strong return, because it brought together a large number of people, both in person and via streaming.

The event held between 16 and the 22 August Benicassim, Spain, counted with 211 thousand attendees in person, coming from 77 nationalities of the five continents, as revealed by the organization.

further, the festival exceeded the limits of the concert venue thanks to the broadcast via streaming from the Main Stage and Lion Stage shows and the main Reggae University debates and sessions during the week with 2,8 millions of people around the world who were able to follow each of the presentations live.

followers of some 90 countries enjoyed more than 650 thousand hours of live broadcasts from the different digital channels of the festival during the seven days in which some 200 concerts and cultural sessions, like Reggae University, that allowed the public to enjoy close dialogues with Julian Marley, Horace Andy o Luciano.

Apart from the mentioned, the line up included great exponents of reggae such as Black Uhuru, The Abyssinians, Max Romeo, Clinton Fearon, Sly Dunbar & The Revolutionaries, Morgan Heritage, Alboroise and what had as its climax to Burning Spear on the last day.

The only national representative on this occasion was Tiano Bless, who was invited to sing during the presentation of Soom T and returned to the festival where he had a participation with a complete show in 2016.
