The national singer Maialem released his new single “Down”, a reggae song to encourage people who are going through difficult times.
“This song seeks to be a space of encouragement and company for all those people who feel alone fighting every day.. It is a call to stay strong and not be defeated by adversity. (…) It is a song of resistance to a system that is hostile to people and that tries to have them dominated, vibrating low”, the artist said about this topic.
further, Maialem dedicated the song to “all my reggae family and real lovers of Jamaican culture that since my beginnings they know that reggae is part of my musical history and that they have been waiting for this material for a long time” and invited the dancehall family to “enjoy the roots of Jamaican music”.
The production of the song was carried out by Piso 15 Music, commanded by Elemental Raggamuffin, who made this reggae instrumental, in addition to recording, mix and master, while the complete production of the video was carried out in Piso's new chroma studio 15 Music.
