Chinitafari releases her debut single “We are Powerful”

The singer from the Valparaíso Region Chinitafari premiered this Friday 13 December his debut solo single called “We are Powerful” on all digital platforms, along with its respective video clip.

Production has been preparing since April of this year with Vito on The Beat, by La Joya Record, in charge of the production and mastering of the song, while Big Martin was in charge of audiovisual production.

“The image and script production was created by me and in collaboration with Yeya Designs and the braider Pepona, we achieve the desired styling. I made a call to be able to make this video with my sisters and friends, many of whom participated and supported this project. Thanks to all the women who managed to achieve this project”, said the singer to Reggae Chalice Magazine.

ChinitafarI highlighted that “Getting to this moment has been a tremendous journey., a lot of effort involved, lots of trial and error, lots of practice and above all conviction. I come with this dream of my adolescence and getting here is a great achievement. I am very happy for everything achieved and for all the support of the people”.

—What style characterizes your music??

—I don't want to pigeonhole myself into one style., I represent black music. My beginnings in this were with rap and thanks to this I met RastafarI and everything else happened along the way.

—How has being a Rastafari woman influenced - or not- your path in music?

—Being a Rastafarian woman has given me security, strength and confidence needed to start this project, Empress Menen's teachings have given me the tools to fight in this system and strive in life to achieve everything I have set out to do., and also through my music I want to continue showing the power and struggle of Rastafarian women.

—What projects do you have in mind for 2025?

Several projects are coming. I will release some collaborations soon, with Jessai Amaru and Sistah Lore and another collaboration with Los Pacíficos. Also preparing my other solo songs to release them in the first semester of 2025. I come with many varied styles.

—Tell us about the dedication that appears at the end of the video?

—I wanted to pay tribute to our Celeste “Last Positive” who left for Zion a couple of years ago. She always believed in me, It empowered me and encouraged me to gain more confidence in life with music.. She was an exemplary and tremendously powerful woman and I wrote several bars thinking about her and our conversations.. And also a tribute to my matriarch, my grandmother who left in June of this year. She was so happy to see me singing, She was very proud of my achievements and since she was not able to see it finished, the least she could do was a small dedication.. Now you are my strength and inspiration.
