And it is that the numbers are not a mere chance, have meaning and for many people mark important moments in their lives. Reggae Chalice he spoke with Balaguero in the preview of what will be the premiere of this new album and shared with this medium his appreciations about what this process has been, so is the new stage in which it is in a complex but fruitful year under a pandemic.
According to Balaguero, the album was called "10" initially because it coincided with the 10 years of his career, in 2017, but that process took longer due to multiple reasons, which led him to decide to launch it at all costs in 2020, in a year that for him has been a lot of learning and work.
"Arrived on 2020 I made it my goal to give my all, even if it's from 0. It was there when I looked for the numerological meaning of “10” which says: “people wearing this number usually have their minds clear on a goal, also this number has the force of 2 numbers, the 1 which represents the whole and the 0 what is nothing” and I found total meaning according to the stage of life in which I find myself ", story.

Dropping single after single, Balaguero has not rested in this year of confinement and without live presentations. In Balaguero's words, "10" brings a variety of rhythms and content, unlike what he had shown in his previous productions. Takes a tour from the Roots, going through the Lovers Rock that characterizes it, the Dancehall and also the Afrobeats. "I wanted to reflect what I am doing today, which is to show that there is versatility to do everything without losing the essence ", counted.
And he announced that two of the ten songs that are part of "10" are new collaborations: “Where you are” Ft Richie Loop x Saok, song that will be the promotional single of the album, and the second is “She” Ft AlBeezy.
“This year has been incredible and for me, it was really very musical, of many challenges musically speaking, where they have demanded me (producers) do more than i used to, which I like and enjoy a lot because during all this time I have understood that I am capable, that there are no limitations in music, that the path of inspiration is wide and that you can do whatever you want, as long as you want. My reflection goes hand in hand with that, if you want, you can and there is no one who can make you feel otherwise ", Held.
