the national singer Balaguero launches this tuesday 24 January his new EP called Rainbow, his ninth production, the seventh study, and the first that he makes entirely with a specific producer, in this case Dee Master, outstanding producer from Bogotá, Colombia.
This work, whose release coincides with the artist's birthday, is made up of five songs plus a bonus track, with interesting collaborations with artists like Dynasty (Puerto Rico/United States), Lion Bigmao YMackenzie (Colombia), Digital Dread Y Mc Dealer (Chile), In addition to the special participation of Richie Loop (Jamaica).
“This production is full of colors and nuances that will make everyone choose their favorite song or songs. Y, further, I wanted to call him that –Rainbow– by the popular saying, 'to taste the colors’. I know that some songs or themes will attract more attention than others., That's something that comes by nature., just like the rainbows in the sky”, raised singer.
Balaguero added that “At this stage of my career I gave myself the freedom to make a proposal that is more up to date., on this occasion hand in hand with Dee Master, Colombian producer, with which we were able to materialize the ideas and take them to music, always in line with what I like to do and I am very happy and satisfied with the result”.
More specifically, the interpreter of “It's always possible” details that “This production is strictly focused on female and youth audiences., you will find songs for everyone moods, to dedicate and to dance. We wanted to walk between Dancehall and Afrobeats, always maintaining the essence, doing it our way”.
—Your last album 10 was presented in October 2020. Since that date you have released a vast number of singles, collaborations with artists from the region How have these been 3 last years in your musical career?
-Indeed, The last studio production I did was 10 and in May 2021 we launch Acoustic Live Vol.2. Always in parallel we were releasing singles with different producers and artists. These last few years have been quite productive and I really like it that way., I consider myself a very active and restless artist., I like to always be doing something.
—What are the singles from this EP?
—Bueno, the first single (without having announced it as such) was “She likes it” ft. Dynasty, which is also part of The Dancehall All Stars, multi-artist production by Dee Master. Now the chosen cut was “She’s Hot” with Digital Dread, Mc Dealer (we've been wanting to do something for a while) and Lion Bigmao the latter, one of the most prominent Colombian artists today.
— What can we anticipate about what this year holds for your musical career??
—Uuuuh, I'm working on so many things, I prefer to leave it as a surprise for now.. I can only say that any news, yes or yes, You will find out exclusively from Reggae Chalice.
