We are talking about that era of militant Rastafari reggae with which many of us grew up and which to this day we continue to enjoy even with the passage of time..
Since that time comes The Congos, who came to Santiago to celebrate 50 years of music singing Rastafari, in a date that took us from the Metronome Room to some corner of Kingston, Jamaica.
The group demonstrated why it continues to be a fundamental pillar of roots reggae, with that magic that it achieves with the harmonization of the different types of voices of its members.
The Cedric Myton's falsetto, the tenor de Roy Johnson and the Watty Burnett's baritone get that mix that is not only musically rich, but also conveys a sense of spiritual depth, unity and mysticism, a central aspect in the roots reggae message.

Classics from his best-known album were heard live Hearts of The Congos as “Fisherman”, “Congo Man”, “La La Bam-Bam” u “Open Up The Gate”, in addition to other topics such as “Youth Man” O “Revolution”.
After an hour on stage, the three legendary singers approached the audience and signed autographs., They took photos while keeping the vibration high, with Cedric Myton as the most effusive with his followers.
After that they continued for a little while more, but this time on the Rootz Hifi sound system, located on the side of the stage, before sealing this show, his second visit to Chile in seven years, with which The Congos reaffirms their status as one of the most influential and respected bands of the genre, making it clear that his musical legacy is more alive than ever.
