Glue released his first full-length album, a work that brings together compositions developed since the beginning of the project in 2022 and that includes an important part of its history. Through ten songs that move between diverse musical styles and Latin American rhythms, The album proposes a look marked by the diversity of experiences, influences and trajectories that come together in the identity of the band.
“I would describe it as an adventure.”, a journey between musicians, colleagues, friends and family. We all come from different cities, We have different tastes and our own experiences., But we are united by music and the possibility of playing and creating from the rhythms and styles that accompany us.”, expressed vocalist Erik Marchant.
The piece that gives its name to the album, “Go out and play”, summarizes the spirit of the band by representing music as a meeting space, collective play and creation. “Para los dos” also appears among the featured songs., an invitation to romance that is especially meaningful for its members, along with “The land is not for sale”, a high-energy composition that proposes a reflection on contemporary social problems.
For the grouping, This launch represents the culmination of a process. “It is the closing of a constant work, of good and bad essays, anecdotes, laughs, good plays, others not so much and epic moments. It is an album with a little piece of our lives, beliefs, experiences and memories transformed into music”, Marchant commented.
Kelu brings together musicians from different parts of Chile who found a common space in the Valparaíso Region to develop their artistic project.. Since then, The band has built its proposal based on collective work and the constant search for new forms of musical expression fusing reggae with rock., funk, salsa and Latin American rhythms.
“Salir a Jugar” featured compositions by Kelu and lyrics by Erik Marchant, in addition to collaborations from Sebastián Arellano and Rodrigo Cabrera in the introduction, and Felipe Toro in “A Break Chains”. The arrangements were in charge of Humberto Burotto, Sebastian Arellano and Rodrigo Cabrera; the production was carried out by Rodrigo Cabrera; recording by Humberto Rubiño; the mix by Javier Díaz; and mastering by Cristian Fernández.
After the release of the album, Kelu plans to expand the circulation of her work during 2026 through new presentations and dissemination spaces, while they continue developing unreleased material that they will progressively begin to present live.
