This is how Rototom Sunsplash, the largest and most important festival in Europe that has 10 years is carried out in Spain, has announced the suspension of its 27th version, which was scheduled for 16 August of this year, and that - as announced in a press release- will take place on the same date but in 2021.
The statement points out that “the Rototom Sunsplash adventure for almost three decades does not begin with the good news that we would like.”. We suspend dates. The current international health crisis does not allow the festival to be held next summer.”
The 27th edition under the motto “We can change the world” will have to wait, say the organizers and add that “a Rototom Sunsplash without hugs would not be Rototom. would lose its essence, and we want it intact. We pause editing 2020, but not our determination and desire to move forward.”.
In the letter they recognize the difficulties that lie ahead and mention the need to have the public's trust by paying for tickets in advance.
