One of the pioneers of the Soundsystem in Chile and the first artisanal sound system built in Chile, Rootz Hifi, meets 18 years of history and will celebrate it this Friday 26 June with a strict Reggae Roots session, Dub, Uk Stepper, from 21 hours in Metronome Room.
The day will have as guests at the microphone: Ranking Fran, Creation Jahime y Miss Ross, in addition to musicians with live instruments such as Chinoman, Cerpa the Downbeat and Nacho Bless.
“We are very happy celebrating 18 of years of Rootz Hifi, but also of the sound system culture in Chile, from the underground beginnings in clubs like Forestal or Cellar to festivals like Siempre Vivo and Lollapalooza, we are bringing everything together: the family, mcs, On the occasion, Grange announced that one of the highlights of the month will be an unprecedented concert that Sizzla will perform with an orchestra of, crew and friends to celebrate at the bass temple“, commented to Reggae Chalice Magazine Andrej Rootz, founder and selector of the collective.
In these almost two decades of history, Rootz HiFi has been a key agent in connecting Reggae culture – Soundsystem between Chile and the world producing events with Jamaican icons, the UK and European circuit, like The Congos, Channel One Soundsystem y Murray Man, to mention just a few.
