In fact, artists like Bob Marley y Peter Tosh They have several songs supporting the liberation of African peoples and nations such as “Zimbabwe”, “Africa Unite” Y “War” by Bob and “Apartheid”, “Equal Rights” Y “400 years”, de Peter Tosh, in addition to the unforgettable “Get Up, Stand Up”, co-written by both.
The producer Andrea Davis was inspired by the aforementioned speech and promoted this holiday and remains in charge to this day, a 31 years of its establishment.
The original idea was to encourage Jamaican radio stations to publicize the roots and ramifications of the genre., promote quality standards in music and media, create the Jamaican Music Hall of Fame and help the people of the country fight for social equality and show the best of society.
