Six years of trials, together, conversations, music creation and roaming in areas where there usually arrives music, converge in “I would like to be”, the first album by the Buenos Aires band Manolo Verdejo, launch that will take place this Saturday 16 of April.
According to what the members of the Reggae band tell us, This one was born as a coincidence, a meeting of friends who decide to make music together. They began presenting their Reggae lyrics in local spaces such as neighborhood meetings., neighborhood headquarters and cultural activities in different towns of Valparaíso. It was in these spaces where the band began to consolidate a work that later managed to make its way to stages in both the port and Santiago..
“Quisiera Estar” represents part of the roadmap that has been followed in these six years Manolo Verdejo, a Reggae album with variations and influences of various rhythms, 12 songs related “to Valparaíso and its inhabitants, to all the expressions of the love that moves us, we make an invitation to act in collective conscience. In this album we refer to spirituality, to respect, to how wonderful and simple everyday life is and the contingency that injustice imposes on us.”, they tell us from the band.
The invitation is for this Saturday 16 of April, from 21 hrs, at the premises of the Municipal Workers Union of Valparaíso, place where our friends from Manolo Verdejo They will launch their first album.
