“Manifest”, a statement of principles by José Dolores

“It is a declaration of principles”, this is how it defines José Dolores the spirit of his latest EP called “Manifest”, what, in his own words, it is “a real trip” through the universe of its lyrics and its sounds.

There are three songs that give life to this work recorded during April of this year that express the feelings of this experienced singer with more than 15 years of experience.

“(The EP) It is a declaration of principles, not as extensive as a disk, with 10 O 15 songs, but a manifesto synthesized in three songs who have that outbreak in common”, posed the deejay Puentealtino to Reggae Chalice.

“It is the manifesto, that is to say, who I feel I am, who I think I am and who I am today, in 2022, with the new era of digital distribution, del streaming, of entertainment, here in Chile with the phenomenon of the golden generation of urban music. (Is about) how to resist and how to stay standing, stay alive, that is the manifesto that I try to express in this EP”, he added.

The album begins with the homonymous “Manifest”, that emanates reflections of the present on the world and social events of current life.

Then, “My Blood” portrays the feelings of a Chilean reggae singer who navigates the waters of contempt and passion.

The last song is goodbye, see you soon. With music by FeraL, in “The Rebellion” There is a memory to those who free the chains through rhythms, lyrics and melodies. He has a special dedication to Juan Salvador, exceptional human being and multi-instrumentalist who left us during this year.

The EP was recorded and mixed by Alejandro Altamirano (Jahninjah Dub), José Dolores (track 2 Y 3) and KDH Music (track 1).
