Gondwana starts largest North American tour

 

Ad doors to celebrate three decades of music, the historic and pioneer Chilean Reggae band, Gondwana, began what will be one of his most extensive tours this year, a journey that began in Mexico and will then continue through Canada and the United States, and it will last about three months.

In that intense musical journey that they will carry out during the first semester of 2016, the band has scheduled 52 presentations, in a daily itinerary that began in Mexico last 12 of May, continues its journey towards Vancouver, Canada, and ends in the United States, returning to Chile on 20 of July. Gondwana reggae is already scheduled to return to the country for 23 of July, days after his return.

Asked about the most important Reggae stages in which they will be present, Mc Jona, band vocalist since 2011, talked with Reggae Chalice and told us that during the three months of tour “we have the Cali Roots (California Roost Festival) which is a three day festival in California, where great exponents of reggae will perform such as Damian Y Stephen Marley, Katchafire, Tarrus Riley Y Barrington Levy, to name a few, we show up on the last day, closing the show before the band Rebolution. Special mention is the show we will have with the legendary band Misty in Roots, the 23 May in Los Angeles, California”.

Prior to your departure, the Chilean band formed by its bassist, I-locks Labbé, He will tour the countries of North America performing classics from his repertoire such as 'Green Yellow and Red', 'Original Feeling', 'Sweet Love', 'My Princess', ‘Area of ​​Jah’, also some of his most recent productions such as 'Piénsame’ or 'When the rain stops', songs from the albums ‘Revolution‘ (2011) Y ‘Reggae N’Roll’ (2014), as well as Bob Marley covers like “Could you be loved”, among other hits of the group.

In parallel to the tour they are on, Gondwana works intensely on the pre-production of their new album, eighth work with new songs whose release date is scheduled for the second half 2016.
