One of the most influential voices on the global sound system scene, the british Charlie P, He arrived for the first time in Chile for a single show in Valparaíso, by the hand of Quebrada Soundsystem.
Before the show the artist participated in an activity prior to the show this Tuesday 19 of May at the Music and Work Creative Office -a.k.a the Chopoteca- with a day of meet and greet in which the fans were able to share an unforgettable afternoon.
Its grand premiere will take place this Wednesday 20 at Emporio Echaurren, located on street Clave 243, Valparaiso, from 22:00 until 04:00 hours, show in which some of their songs are expected to be played hits like “Sixteens Tons of Pressure”, “Dub Controller”, “Ghetto Cycles”.
Charlie P's career
Charlie P is originally from Southend, Essex and began his musical adventure at 5 years, performing Motown and blues classics. His connection with reggae was innate, deeply rooted in her upbringing within British-Jamaican culture, what really motivated his passion for music.
During his youth he was part of the ska collective Goldmaster All-Stars, where his voice caught the attention of Nick Dubateers, local sound system owner. Charlie visited Conscious Sounds studio to record his debut album 'Hustle', marking the beginning of his musical career.
