Chala and Tiano Bless will be this Sunday in an intimate show

An intimate concert called “Reggae in the Neighborhood” will star Chala Music, Tiano Bless and a “surprise guest”, a world reggae star, this Sunday 18 February in the studios RustikLab Music, located in the Heritage Neighborhood Typical Zone Matta Sur, from 21:30 hours.

Chala Music is the band Benjamin Cerda in Hawaii, where the Chilean/American musician is based, but on this occasion Cerda will be accompanied by his backing band in Chile, Jahlight, made of which was made together with the German producer Mad Outta Road on the bass, Charls Leyton on keys, Biggs in the battery, Paco Quintanilla on the guitar, Janeke Bustos on the sax and Javiera Rosselot in the choirs.

Chala, the return to the roots

Chala is a collective of musicians that was born in 2012 on the island of Maui, in the Hawaiian Archipelago, with Benjamin Sow as director, composer and producer, and has three studio albums: Walk This World (2014), By Your Side (2017) Y Long Game (2023).

Cerda was born in Chile, But he grew up in Northern California., then to the 18 years he moved to Hawaii and near the 20 He returned to Chile to discover his roots. He stayed here for 7 years and due to life circumstances he returned to the Polynesian archipelago, after which he formed Chala.

Influenced by his parents, both musicians, He played the guitar since he was little and went through various musical styles until he heard Bob Marley and that's how he got to know reggae and bands like Steel Pulse Y UB40, among other, developing a style with rock influences, blues latin rhythms.

The “special guest”
