The national reggae and dancehall singer, Canis Major -a.k.a. Jojoman-, is in Mexico in the midst of his first tour of the North American country with three dates confirmed in Mexico City.
The musician, who will be in the aforementioned country for three weeks, He already had the first of his shows last 18 October in Chelosterraza, in the Mexican capital, at a party full of dance, energy and dancehall.
“I feel very grateful, very happy and fulfilling a commitment with my Mexican fans, since for a long time I have received a lot of feedback from the dancehall community here in Mexico. Mainly the girls, who are always dancing to my songs, spreading my music and letting me know that you enjoy what I do”, Jojoman said to Reggae Chalice Magazine.
The artist's tour is focused on connecting with the female dancehall audience, where the main focus will be the dancers and the dancehall female instructive. With songs like “Mamacita” and “Ping Pong”, seeks to transmit all the energy to the Mexican community in its shows.
“The expectation is to generate a party (…) and strengthen the good bond we have with the dancehall community here in Mexico”, the singer emphasized.
This first time in Mexico, The artist seeks to meet and meet promoters of the country's dancehall culture, opening doors for future visits and collaborations.
“We are in conversation with other producers who are more reggae (…), So I bring that repertoire for the possible link that I am going to make with producers from that community.”, says the musician.
The tour continues next Sunday 26 October at the Dancehall Queen Méixco event 2025, that will take place in CDMX, along with the next confirmed date which is 31 October at the Halloween party in Iztapalapa in the same city.
