A musical journey that connects spirituality and nature is the reggae proposal presented by the Chilean artist Pozoul in your album debut “Blessed”, released at the end of may. In a sound tour of 13 songs, his first album is inspired “for the gratitude of feeling blessed“.
In conversation with Reggae Chalice Magazine, the artist from Viña del Mar, in the Valparaiso region, expressed that this production “It is a journey to and from the author's intimacy, inspired mainly by the gratitude of feeling blessed not precisely by external achievements, but for the conviction of having found your home and purpose. A safe place to return to whenever fatigue or confusion appears that everyone, sometime in life, we face“.
“Bendído” is a set of songs that belong to his first compositional cycle, materialized today in a reggae album enriched with jazz elements such as improvisation, where the prominence of harmonies on the piano and wind arrangements that seek chromaticism and long phrases also stand out., elements that make up the identity of this, his first musical stage.
The above, complemented with his characteristic harmony and vocal ability that can be seen throughout the album, in songs like “Father of Creation”, “Jah Jah First”, “Protection” or “What I Breathe”, to name a few. On the album you can also find collaborations with national and international artists in songs like “Your Love” ft Jimmy Rivas; “More than an Idea” ft Fran Mc Manus, Y “Decisions” ft the Uruguayan artist La Casa del Reggae.
With around eight years of musical career, Pozoul - whose real name is Francisco Pozo Olivares- premiered his debut live album alongside prominent musicians from the scene and guest artists last 27 May at the SCD Room in Santiago, and plans for this year “continue enjoying and being grateful for having concluded this musical stage; take the album to other stages and, progressively, start presenting new compositions”, sentenced.
