the national band Arbol just released his debut EP last June, a production of five songs that is ready to be presented live soon.
The group born in 2019, and whose presentation on stage took place in 2021, talked with Reggae Chalice about this work -whose name is the same as the band-, in addition to your ideas, his love for reggae and his projections for the year.
The band's initial lineup was Rogelio (vocalist), Daniel (drums) Y Nicholas(guitar), playing reggae classics and then new members join in like Cris (saxo), Ricardo (low), Jaime (keyboards) Y Daniela (vocalist), who gives him “a new air to the band, delivering new ideas”.
“Our EP are 5 songs and each one of them is special, each one has its own story. 'Arrebol’ It was the first and we were always together and through collective ideas giving it the form that is heard today. Then it comes 'Walking trails’, with the ideas of a friend -Matías-, who at that time was part of the band, that speaks of the path traveled and the introspection of this route in life”, the group explained.
“'The price’ It's a song of power, expressing our discontent, social unrest, general lack of empathy, with more aggressive guitars and a clear and conscious message. 'Moon Skin’ Jean brings it, who used to play bass, that professes a deep feeling of tenderness and desires towards a 'someone'. When Daniela enters, she offers us a song of her own. –'Observe and Be Thankful’-, that carries a very loaded message of gratitude, self respect, and also observe yourself and realize that you are valuable”, emphasizes the group.
