The Wailers presented new album after 26 years

  • One World is the name of this new plate of the band that has several novelties in its formation.

Long years passed -26 strictly speaking- so that the mythical reggae band that accompanied Bob Marley, The Wailers, will launch a new musical production after Jah Message, of 1994.

Is about One World, released this friday 21 of August, and whose first single “One World, One Prayer” It was already presented last May.

According to slogan Reggaeville,  the album was produced by Emilio estefan and has several collaborations from Julian, Skip and Cedella Marley, Shaggy, Farruko (Puerto Rico), Emily Estefan (Daughter of Emilio and Gloria Estefan), Natiruts (Brazil), Carlinhos Brown (Brazil), Frederic Yonnet (France), Marcia Griffiths Y Judy Mowatt (of the I-Threes).

Likewise, the training presents a powerful generational renewal under the leadership of Aston Barrett Jr. on battery, with his namesake father, the legendary “Familyman”, on the bass, they keep the classic sound in the family “one drop” that the latter popularized with his brother Carlton Barrett.

In the voice, Josh David Barrett, next to the guitars led by the original Donald Kinsey, in addition to Wendel “Junior Jazz” Ferraro Y Owen “Dreadie” Reid, while keyboards are the responsibility of Andrés López and Tyrone Downie, who was the youngest of the first line-up of The Wailers.

They are joined by the saxophonist Glen DaCosta and Dennis Thompson, the engineer who was from the beginning of the band, in addition to Shema McGregor -daughter of Judy Mowatt and the pioneer of reggae Freddie McGregor-, Anne-Marie Thompson Y Tamara Barnes in the choirs.
